ADDAPT is Long Island’s defense and aerospace trade organization, dedicated to securing private and government contracts to Long Island’s defense and aerospace companies. Our incredibly deep industrial base and a highly educated workforce, gives us a distinct competitive advantage over the rest of the country. Long Island’s rich history in defense and aerospace manufacturing, pioneered by companies like Grumman, IDO, Sikorsky, Republic, and Sperry, has established a robust tier two and tier three supply chains ready to meet the demands of OEMs and the Department of Defense.

Dear ADDAPT Members,

This is a pivotal moment for the Aerospace and Defense industries. And it’s only going to get more exciting. With the continuous advancements in aerospace and defense technologies, key players in the industry are increasingly looking to ADDAPT members to meet growing demands. This presents a unique opportunity to showcase what’s “Made on Long Island” as production ramps up for next-generation systems.

There are major shifts taking place in aerospace and defense manufacturing. We are amid a generational transformation in the systems our customers depend on, the products they are investing in, and the strategies they are deploying for success. Thanks to the dedication and innovation of our members, ADDAPT’s defense industrial base is in prime position to capitalize on these tremendous opportunities.

Over the past year, we’ve made impressive progress—partnering with OEMs across North America, driving workforce development initiatives, and ensuring our voice is heard on Capitol Hill and at the Pentagon. But we cannot afford to lose momentum.

The path forward will require continued hard work to keep ADDAPT front and center for customers in rotor and fixed-wing aircraft, submarines and surface vessels, missile systems, and land-based platforms. To keep driving growth and unlocking new opportunities for ADDAPT members, we need two things: unity and expansion. First, we need all our members working together, aligned on a shared vision. Second, we need new voices—partners who aren’t yet part of ADDAPT—to join us. With greater numbers comes greater influence.

Let’s make sure OEMs and decision-makers on Capitol Hill know exactly what’s “Made on Long Island.” Together, we can amplify our message and secure even more opportunities for our region, our industry, and our national defense.
