On Monday, October 28th, Addapt held its annual fall town hall event at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, NY.
The event featured representatives of Sikorsky Aerospace of Ct., who, in their own words, are the last aerospace prime manufacturer in our area. They were upbeat, and enthusiastic about growth and opportunities for everyone in the area.
Grassi and Co. prepared a timely and very informative presentation on Cyber Security as it relates to our industry. As most of you know, DoD is enforcing compliance to NIST 800-171 (also known as DFARS), and has implemented a new structure called CMMC, which is a real game changer. As the panel members made abundantly clear, in the fall of 2020 compliance to CMMC becomes mandatory if you want to work for the DoD in any capacity.
The crowd was upbeat, the Cradle of Aviation was sunny and bright in the morning. The coffee was good, there was plenty of bacon!
